Staff Profile

Dr Chinelo Igwe was born in Germany. She studied Estate Management at Enugu State University of Science and Technology from where she also obtained her Master’s degree in Environmental Management. She also has a Masters and PhD degree in Estate Management from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and Nnamdi Azikiwe University respectively. Dr Chinelo joined Nnamdi Azikiwe university as a graduate assistant in August 2002 from where she rose to the level of Senior Lecturer. Her research interests cover several areas of land and property issues like; Estate Management, Land and Property Taxation, Land Value capture and Facilities Management. She teaches students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr Igwe is a dedicated researcher and committed to service thus she is an editor of the Environmental review journal (Faculty of Environmental Science Journal). Outside of academia, she is a registered Estate Surveyor and Valuer and an associate member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV). She is a past president of the Rotary club of Onitsha East and a Paul Harris Fellow.
