Staff Profile

Dennis Aribodor is a Professor of Public Health Parasitology. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2008. He lectures at the Department of Parasitology and Entomology, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. He hails from Azia in Anambra State. His major area of research is malaria epidemiology and control. He has been involved in the efforts to control and eliminate malaria and neglected tropical diseases in Nigeria. He has supervised a reasonable number of masters and doctoral students and mentored many academics and researches. He has received some specialized training and participated in indoor residual spraying programme in Nigeria. He has over 40 journal publications and founded health-based nongovernmental organization called Malaria Eradication and Safe Health Initiative of Nigeria. He has some leadership experience both in the academia and beyond. He has served as head of department, Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities, Director of Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), convener of ASUU National Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation and many others. He has won some scholarship and facilitated the award of grants to his mentees.
